Try the Ubuntu Utopic Unicorn Beta

The first beta is ready for download and testing, including Xubuntu, Lubuntu, Kubuntu, Ubuntu Kylin and Ubuntu GNOME. There are several updates for every distribution. Weather and Maps apps installed by default on Ubuntu Gnome and KDE is testing Plasma 5 desktop.

The next release is due on September and the release candidate should come on October 16! The final Ubuntu version is coming on October 23, 2014

The desktop image allows you to try Ubuntu-GNOME without changing your computer at all, and at your option to install it permanently later. This type of image is what most people will want to use. You will need at least 384MiB of RAM to install from this image.

How To install Ubuntu Desktop 12.10

Ubuntu is very easy to install. There are two options how to install it. The first is downloading a copy of the latest Ubuntu Release and burn it on a DVD. But if you have a newer computer you can boot from USB. If your computer doesn’t automatically do so, you might need to press the F12 key after restarting to bring up the boot menu, but be careful not to hold it down – that can cause an error message.
