How to add transparency and background image to Terminal on Ubuntu

On my tutorials about Ubuntu you have seen “Terminal WindowsTransparent. Here is a short guide how to make the Terminal transparent or add Image on background.

Open the “Terminal Window” and go to Edit>Current Profile:

On the Window Profile select Effects tab:

Check the radio box “Transparent background” and move the slider to give more or less transparency.

From this Tab you can add also a Image for Terminal background.

Check “Background image” box and find a img from “Image file“:

Also here you can play with transparency slider to make the background more visual or colored.
