How to move Windows Live Messenger to System Tray in Windows 7

Windows - Live Messenger - System Tray

Window Live Messenger in Windows 7 is removed from System tray. But this option was really comfortable. Many users are asking how to have back MSN Icon to System Tray. There is no special mod to do this, just a simply change of compatibly mode.

Move Windows Live Messenger to Notification Area:

1- Right Click on Windows Live Messenger Icon on Desktop or inside All Programs –> Windows Live and select Properties.

Or if you removed the desktop icon:

Then go to Compatibility Tab. Select the checkbox "Run this program in compatibly mode for:" and select Windows Vista (Service Pack 2) – It will work also if you select Win XP SP3.

You will notice that the MSN Icon will be added to System Tray. Now click on Customize on the small arrow and select Show Icon and Notification options form the drop down menu.
