Here is a hack for mouse pointer. When something is going wrong with your mouse driver you can move anyway the pointer with your keyboard. In Windows hold on the keys Shift+Alt+Num Lock
Now you can move the mouse with numbers:
…………. with 8 move Up
…………. with 4 Left
…………..with 6 Right
…………..with 2 Move down
…………..with7,9,1,3 move diagonal
